My story…

“I still remember the last day of my addiction, before I looked up to God for help. I was ashamed of my addiction, and I planned on taking my life in 3 days.

I never went to church on Sunday night, but that night I went with my Grandma (Bonnie). We weren’t even sitting together. I was holding on hard to the pew at the back of the church where no one could sit by me.

I prayed to God, “If you are real, help me. I can’t do it.”

It was days later when I realized God had taken away my desire for drugs at that moment.”

Three years later, Bonnie’s H.O.P.E. was birthed.

I am thankful to be a part of Bonnie’s H.O.P.E.

God has transformed me from a broken woman into a confident woman of faith. My heart and compassion is walking alongside the broken, to be that encouragement that I once needed. I want to give the same HOPE to others that God has given me.

I serve with Bonnie’s H.O.P.E. because I believe in helping others know that they aren’t walking through their toughest times alone. I have a heart and passion for serving others and praying that they will receive Jesus! Sometimes all anyone wants to know is that they are seen, loved, and valid! This happens with this organization!

From the first day that I heard of Bonnie’s H.O.P.E., I have been so excited. Knowing the foundation of where it all began has my heart full. Bonnie was my second mom and a spiritual mentor to me in my teens. I had the privilege of watching her heart of Jesus in action. She had a heart to help others and steer everyone in the right direction. She became my Naomi, and I was a Ruth in a sense. I watched her and followed her steps to portray Jesus as she did. I am so very proud to be a part of, and serve, on the board of this great outreach program.

Bonnie’s H.O.P.E. is more than a place - it’s a refuge where every person who walks through our doors is embraced with God’s unfailing love. Here, broken lives begin to heal, and hearts are restored to the fullness of who God created them to be.

We know what it means to be sinners saved by grace, and we have seen how God’s mercy transforms hearts, minds, and lives. That same love drives us to walk alongside others, offering hope, encouragement, and a path forward.

Our mission extends beyond those battling addiction. We are also here for their families - those carrying the heavy weight of worry, grief, and uncertainty for their loved ones. At Bonnie’s H.O.P.E. no one is met with judgement. Instead, we offer understanding, compassion, and resources for lasting change.

Every person on our team serves with passion, faith, and determination, believing God’s power to save, heal, and use each life for His glory.
